Costco Black Friday 2026: is it open, and can you get the sale price?

Black Friday is Friday, November 27. Costco warehouses are closed on Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 26) and open on Black Friday. Costco's own Black Friday page lists holiday savings from Friday, October 30 to Monday, November 30. Already bought something that drops in price? Costco's 30-day price adjustment covers anything you bought on or after Wednesday, October 28.

Is Costco open on Black Friday?

Yes. Black Friday isn't one of Costco's holiday closures. Thanksgiving is, so warehouses are shut the day before. Business Centers close on Thanksgiving too. See Costco holiday closures for every date.

What time does Costco open on Black Friday?

In Costco's own store locator data, most warehouses keep Friday hours of 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Costco's warehouse pages list Executive Member hours from 9 a.m. on weekdays. Costco shows any holiday changes to those hours on each warehouse's page, so check yours the week of Thanksgiving. Gas stations usually open earlier than the warehouse. See Costco hours for the full schedule.

When is Costco's Black Friday sale?

Costco has published its 2026 dates (Costco's Black Friday page, checked October 23, 2026). The holiday savings come in waves, and each item shows its own valid dates:

A few rules from Costco's terms: the savings are valid at all U.S. warehouses and on Costco.com, but not at Business Centers, and Puerto Rico has different promotions. You need an active membership for warehouse purchases. Online-only deals are for Costco.com only, where prices can be higher than in the warehouse and shipping may apply. Item limits are per household, deals can't be combined with other promotions, and sales tax may be charged on the price before the discount. Everything is while supplies last.

Two things are worth knowing before the sale starts:

• Buy early without losing out. If you buy something in the 30 days before Black Friday and the price drops in the sale, Costco will refund the difference. It's what the checker above is for. For a limited-time sale price, you have to ask before the sale ends as well as within the 30 days. Because the first wave starts Friday, October 30, anything bought on or after Wednesday, September 30 can catch a sale price from day one. See how Costco's price adjustment works.
• Earn on the big purchases. Black Friday TVs and appliances add up. Executive members get 2% back (Costco's reward terms), and the Costco Anywhere Visa pays 2% at Costco (Citi's card page). Try the Executive calculator with your holiday spending included.

Is Costco busy on Black Friday?

Expect it to be. Black Friday is one of the busiest shopping days of the year, and the usual advice is to go early. Executive members can use the 9 a.m. weekday early hour, which applies on Black Friday since it's a Friday. If you'd rather skip the crowds entirely, Costco.com runs its own online deals.
